Second suspect sought in robbery

Cars from three police departments converged on a Lake Glacier parking lot and police arrested two men.
AUSTINTOWN -- Police here are looking for one of two men accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in the Four Seasons Apartments.
Shortly after the Monday afternoon robbery, Austintown police caught a suspect driving near Mill Creek Park's Lake Glacier, while Youngstown police arrested the suspect's passenger, who is wanted on two bench warrants.
Austintown police charged Rocky Nicoloff, 24, of Price Road, Youngstown with aggravated robbery and driving from the scene of a crime. Nicoloff was to appear Thursday morning in Mahoning County Court, Austintown.
The victim at Four Seasons Apartments, formerly known as Fountain Square, on New Road was robbed at 1:45 p.m. Monday, police said.
Police said the victim was the mother of one of Nicoloff's friends. About 1:40 p.m, Nicoloff and another man spoke with the woman at her apartment. The man with Nicoloff then pulled out a gun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the woman.
In July, Nicoloff was convicted of a loud-music violation in Youngstown, his second offense. Municipal Judge Elizabeth A. Kobly gave him 30 days in jail, suspended it all and fined him $500, which he paid. The judge also placed Nicoloff on one-year probation.
In August, Nicoloff was again convicted of loud music and sentenced to 10 days in jail by Judge Kobly. The judge also ordered that he forfeit his stereo equipment and imposed a $500 fine, which Nicoloff still owes, records show.
Passenger's arrest
Nicoloff's passenger, Terence M. Rager, 23, of Volney Road, was arrested Monday by Youngstown police on a charge of drug-abuse marijuana abuse.
He also was charged with two separate counts of failure to appear in Youngstown Municipal Court on charges of driving with a suspended license.
Rager was due in municipal court later today for arraignment.
When Mill Creek MetroParks police stopped the burgundy four-door 1990 Pontiac Grand Am, Nicoloff was driving in the southernmost parking lot on the west side of Lake Glacier just before 4:30 p.m. Rager, who was a front-seat passenger, ran from the car and was arrested as he hid behind Slippery Rock Pavilion, police said.
Police said they found and confiscated a plastic zipper bag of suspected marijuana that had been dropped under the park's Slippery Rock Bridge.
Nicoloff and Rager were taken to Mahoning County jail. A woman who was a rear-seat passenger was released without charge.
At least a half-dozen police cars from Youngstown, Austintown and Mill Creek MetroParks converged on the arrest scene.
Those responding included canine units from Youngstown and Austintown.
