XSTRUTHERS -- The marriage of Anissa Joan Thompson of Youngstown and Gary Eugene Kalbasky Jr. of Struthers was solemnized by the Rev. Phillip Rogers during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at St. Nicholas Church.
The newlyweds accepted congratulations during a reception at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty, then left for a honeymoon to Disney World, Orlando, Fla.
They live in Kent.
Parents of the couple are Atty. Patricia Dougan and Thomas R. Thompson, both of Youngstown, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Kalbasky Sr. of Struthers.
Pearls and sequins adorned the bride's ensemble featuring a satin bodice and tulle skirt.
Honor attendants were Nicole Pompeii and Brandy Cammack. Bridesmaids were Connie Thompson, the bride's sister-in-law; Lisa Kalbasky, the groom's sister; Marla Sferra, Jennifer Piro and Nicole Damico, his cousins; and Laurie Milano, her cousin. They wore eggplant and amethyst gowns. The bride's niece, Brianna Thompson, was flower girl.
Serving as best man was Jason Long. Groomsmen were Sean and James Thompson, brothers of the bride; James Damico, the groom's cousin; Raymond Boila; Jeffrey Dechellis; Timothy Scibelli; and Vincent Luchison.
Mrs. Kalbasky is a sales associate with Realty One in Aurora. She attended Youngstown State University.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in engineering at YSU. He is a process engineer at Rovisys Inc., Aurora.
