VALLEY THOUGHTS 6th and 17th congressional districts

Here's what some Mahoning Valley voters thought of the candidates for Congress from the 6th District:
"I just don't care for Halleck; I don't feel he'll come through."
Rose Marie Crookston, 67, of Salem, voted for Strickland.
"He's a proven congressman. [Halleck]'s not just a person who gets along with others. Mr. Strickland, I have to applaud him on voting against the president's early Iraq resolution."
- John DeFazio, 57, of Lisbon, voted for Strickland.
"[Halleck] is a local guy. Strickland is 300 miles away; I don't think he'd do us any good 300 miles away."
- George Yuhas, no age given, of North Jackson, voted for Halleck.
