Addition of high-class hippie chic will update image

KNIGHT RIDDER NEWSPAPERS
Almost no one invests in a new wardrobe every time the fashion pendulum swings in a different direction. Trend trackers do add items that create the look of the moment with what they already have.
The New York-based Accessories Council says the fastest update this fall comes from bohemian-inspired accessories. We're talking high-class hippie chic. You can research it in 1970 photographs of almost anyone from flower children to model Jean Shrimpton to the Beatles.
"Wear one key item or layer them all," writes Sheila Block, the council's executive director. "It's about hippie deluxe, and it's available at every price point."
Block's picks include fringe shawls, bags and belts. She likes textured hose, gypsy beaded earrings and chokers in earth tones, coral and turquoise. And finally the soft natural look of suede is high on her list in shoes, bags and clothing.
Make sure you create an image that suits your personality.
