AUCTIONS
XBristol Middle School sixth-grade class will hold a Chinese auction Nov. 15 in the cafeteria at the school, 1845 Greenville Road, Bristolville. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the auction will start at 6:30. Admission is $3 and includes 10 raffle tickets. Additional tickets may be bought. Refreshments will be sold. Proceeds will go toward the class trip in May 2003 to Washington D.C.
XChrist Lutheran Church, 250 Sexton St., Struthers, will have a cutlery Chinese auction, flea market and baked goods event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Food will be available all day.
XMasury VFW Post 8860 Auxiliary will hold a Chinese auction from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the post, 1248 Standard Ave. The drawing will start at 3.
BAZAARS AND CRAFT SHOWS

XCanfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., Canfield, will hold a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday featuring crafts, Christmas items and baked goods and a $1-per-bag event from 3 to 4 p.m. A cafeteria-style luncheon will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
XGreenville Area Leisure Services Association will sponsor its third annual holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Greenville Recreation Center, 45 Alan Ave., Greenville, Pa. For information call Debbie Clark at (724) 588-4810.
XHowland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road, Warren, will hold a "Helping Hands" craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $1, and proceeds will be used for local programs and charities. Lunches also will be available.
XOhltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Mineral Ridge, will hold its annual bazaar, Thanksgiving dinner and bake sale Nov. 23. XParkman Cub Scouts Pack 76 will sponsor a fall and Christmas craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Parkman Community House, 16295 Main Market St. Admission is free, and two floors of crafts will be featured. XSt. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, will sponsor a holiday arts and crafts show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Father Petric Center. Admission is free, and a light lunch will be available. There also will be a bake sale conducted by the Altar and Rosary Society.
XSummit County Fairgrounds, 229 E. Howe Road, Tallmadge, will hold a holiday mart featuring over 175 professional crafters, food and a raffle from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $3; children 12 and under are free. There is a $1 charge for parking at the fairgrounds. Proceeds will benefit Weaver Industries, a nonprofit organization.
XUnited Methodist Women of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church will sponsor the annual holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the church, 155 Tod Ave. N.W., Warren. Shops will include Christmas, decorator's, bake, sweets, needlework, heirloom linens and tots to teens. Homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee will be available from 10 a.m. to noon, a light lunch will be offered from noon to 2 p.m. and a turkey dinner will be served from 4 to 6. BINGO-CARD PARTIES
XCalon Lan Women's Welsh Club will hold a card party from 12:15 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Stacy Pavilion, 6000 Kirk Road, Austintown. The cost is $5. FUND-RAISERS
XYoungstown District Muscular Dystrophy Association will sponsor a Black & amp; Blue Ball Friday at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty. The event will feature a social hour, silent auction, dinner, live auction and dancing. Proceeds will help patients in northeastern Ohio who have neuromuscular disease. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
XAmerican Slovak Cultural Association of the Mahoning Valley will sponsor a night at the races from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Father Snock Center, St. Matthias School, 2800 Shady Run Road, Youngstown. Admission is free, and there will be free hot dogs, beer and pop. Horses will sell for $10, and there also will be a drawing. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund.
RAFFLES
XShrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a Thanksgiving basket raffle after the noon Mass Nov. 17. First prize is a 20-pound turkey, spiral ham and the trimmings; second, a family fun basket, and third, a wine, cheese and fruit basket. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and are available after all Masses.

XBoy Scout Troop 84 will hold its annual rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Austintown Community Church, 245 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown.
