YOUNGSTOWN -- Stuart L. Graham, 59, of Hunter Avenue is charged with four felony counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and one misdemeanor count of public indecency.
In September, the mother of an 11-year-old boy told police that her son and four other boys had been watching pornographic videos at Graham's house for two months.
The public indecency charge accuses Graham of exposing himself. Warrants were issued Oct. 29, after a police investigation. Graham was due in municipal court late today for arraignment.
Shots fired at housein Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN -- A Redondo Road woman heard what she thought was a rock crash through her kitchen window about 1:40 a.m. Sunday but then discovered that someone had fired several rounds at her house.
Police discovered three shots had been fired through front windows, one through the kitchen window and two at a car in the driveway in the 500 block of Redondo. Police had no suspects.
Break-in at school
YOUNGSTOWN -- Six West Side boys -- all Volney Rogers Junior High School pupils -- were taken to the juvenile justice center Sunday afternoon after a break-in at the vacant Stambaugh School on Donald Avenue. Four of the boys are 13, one is 12 and the other is 15.
All six ran out of the closed school when police responded to the burglar alarm at 4:12 p.m. Two were caught coming out of a wooded area near North Hazelwood Avenue. The remaining four were caught near railroad tracks on North Hazelwood.
Charged in burglary
YOUNGSTOWN -- Walter Green, 21, of Jackson Street, Campbell, was arrested Sunday at St. Elizabeth Health Center and taken to the county jail, charged with aggravated burglary.
Green was shot during a burglary attempt at a Southern Boulevard apartment last Thursday, police said. At the time, Green told police he was shot as he walked from a store. The officers followed his blood trail back to the apartment, reports show.
Felonious assault
ELLSWORTH -- Maxie Lee Thompson Jr., 56, of U.S. Route 224, Ellsworth, is accused of firing one shot at a man who tried to collect $10 Sunday night.
Mahoning County deputy sheriffs arrested Thompson on a charge of felonious assault and having illegal possession of a firearm, based on a prior conviction.
Deputies said they collected a shotgun, revolver, two rifles, a sizable amount of ammunition and a 12-inch knife.
Car theft, damages
CANFIELD -- Indian Run Drive was the site of a car theft, vandalism and other thefts over the weekend, according to the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department.
A 1990 Chevrolet Astro van was taken Saturday from a parking lot in the 3800 block of Indian Run.
A door lock and steering column were tampered with on a 1993 Buick in the 3700 block, also Saturday.
On Sunday, a lock was punched out on a contractor's 1999 Ford van and saws and other equipment inside stolen from the 3600 block. Someone also entered a 1987 Honda in the 3600 block and stole a stereo and speakers.
Police probe report
AUSTINTOWN -- Police are investigating a report that a Notre Dame Avenue woman gave her 3-year-old granddaughter an anti-psychotic medication without a prescription. The girl's mother told police her daughter became sick during the last month. The girl told her mother that she had been given unidentified pills by her grandmother.
Doctors at Forum Health Northside Medical Center said Saturday that they found traces of the medication in the girl's system.
Arraignment set
LISBON -- An arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday for a 17-year-old East Liverpool boy charged in the shooting of a man Oct. 27.
The boy, whose name is not being released by authorities, is charged with three counts of felonious assault.
Authorities say the boy fired a .40-caliber handgun at a car carrying three people Sunday on Erie Street.
