MIRANDA MIKULAPHILLIP BATIANIS
XBOARDMAN -- St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park provided the setting Oct. 12 for the wedding of Miranda Mikula and Phillip Batianis, both of 1374 Picadilly Lane, Maumee.
The Rev. Suzanne Hill officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and later the couple were honored during a reception at Mahoning Country Club in Girard.
Parents of the newlyweds are Michael and Lynn Mikula, 116 N. Main St., Austintown, and Jerry and Maria Batianis, 254 Berkshire Ave., Youngstown.
Since returning from a honeymoon in St. Petersburg, Fla., the couple live in Maumee.
The bride's white satin gown was highlighted by a chapel-length train.
Leandra Mikula of Austintown was honor attendant for her sister. She wore a light-violet dress, as did the bridesmaids, Samantha Mikula, another sister, and Stacy Wayland and Sandra Carano, all of Austintown.
Performing the duties of best man for his brother was Chris Batianis of Youngstown. Groomsmen were Tom Batianis of Youngstown, the groom's brother; Shawn Tomig of Cleveland; and Alan Amino of Youngstown. Ring bearer was Jerry Batianis of Youngstown, the groom's nephew.
A social worker at Lucas County Job and Family Services in Toledo, Mrs. Batianis graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in social work.
Her husband is an operator at Jeffers Crane in Oregon, Ohio.
