KEYSTONE CLIPS Grove City College tops list of rankings

Grove City College has been ranked as the No. 1 "Best Value" in its category in U.S. News & amp; World Report's 2003 "America's Best Colleges" guide. The college had been ranked No. 5 in the 2002 and 2001 guides. Rankings, based on the size of the schools, are determined by comparisons in 16 categories. Grove City scored first in three of those areas: freshman retention rate, average Scholastic Aptitude Test scores and freshmen in the top 25 percent of their high-school graduating class.
Proclamation
It just wasn't his day. Farrell Mayor William Morocco announced he would have a proclamation honoring retiring Police Chief Joseph Timko at the start of a city council meeting last week but then had to be reminded later in the session to present it. He explained he'd been having a tough time all day, noting that things started going bad when he locked his keys in his car that morning. He said he called his wife to come get him but then started walking home, missing her as she drove to his rescue. "When she got to where I was, I wasn't even there," he quipped.
