If you go
Wupakti and Sunset Crater Volcano national monuments are 45 miles north of Flagstaff, Ariz., off U.S. Route 89. Loop Road connects both parks and Route 89.
Walnut Canyon National Monument is just to the east of Flagstaff off Interstate 40.
