CHRISTIAN ROMANCE Writing rules Christian romance has its do's and don'ts. Among the elements associated with Christian romance novels:

uThe story upholds biblical principles. It doesn't mean the characters don't do wrong, but that is not held up as being all right, such as sex outside of marriage.
uThere's no profanity.
uThere are no descriptive sex scenes (they stop before the clothes come off).
uSin is dealt with but not glorified.
uThere is a faith-based element to the plot.
uThere is a message of hope or inspiration. Although the stories do not always have a happy ending, there's always hope.
uThe focus is not on physical relationships. Often the focus is on the hero and heroine finding love and passion for God first, and then for each other.
